H&K are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of kitchen equipment in the world. Established in 1975, in Canada, H&K now has a global footprint with operations spread across UK, US, China, Ireland and Australia. Primarily serving restaurant chains, H&K’s clientele includes some of the biggest names in the industry- McDonald’s and Subway to name a few.

H&K were using a legacy ERP system that they were looking to upgrade to a newer technology. The legacy system was proving to be cumbersome to use and lacked features which would help in business growth. In addition, they also wanted to develop an online storefront for their clients to browse product catalogues and place orders.

Exploded views for products with spare parts highlighted allowing users to identify and place orders for spares with ease.

With the successful delivery of the solution, Icreon has helped H&K transition to the web. The solution has done away with the pain areas of the old legacy system. Icreon is currently responsible for maintaining and upgrading the solution.

Icreon worked closely with H&K to develop a web-based enterprise solution to manage their business operations. The solution allows for H&K to manage clients and their access levels, build and maintain product catalogues, inventory and process orders received.

A comprehensive reporting engine has been built, allowing H&K to gain better business insights into their products and client behaviour.

The legacy system was using a DB2 database containing huge volumes of product data. A middle ware was developed to allow for seamless data exchange between the DB2 database and the new MS SQL database.

The solution also includes a B2B E-commerce platform for H&K clients to place online orders.
