For the past decade, AMC Express has been providing freight and logistical support to Sony Europe’s Home Entertainment and Sound business. Tasked with transporting television and other equipment to and from various Sony exhibition and event venues, AMC were relying on email exchanges and Excel spreadsheets to track event schedules and product movement. With no automated system in place real-time tracking of product availability and stock taking was proving to be tedious.

Icreon built a web-based tool that helps automate and streamline the logistics processes at the warehouses. From stock-taking at the warehouse to tracking inbound and outbound product flows, the solution enables better organization of events.

With an inventory management tool in place, the risks and errors associated with manually recording and tracking product movement is done away with. Integrating with an external barcode scanner, the solution helps save time in collecting data about products and stock taking.

To build transparency into the operations and ensure better communication the solution provides Sony staff and AMC staff with access to the tool. Sony can manage and maintain event schedules and AMC staff can handle product allocation and transportation based on needs
