We developed an interactive game that can be installed and played on an iPhone. The game has been developed using the Coco Touch framework and the Chipmunk Physics Engine. The game consists of 3 coins (randomly placed on the screen), a goal post and various obstacles (the number and their positions are based on the level of game play). The objective of the game is to put coins into the goal. To move a coin, the user can touch the selected coin and drag it in the desired direction. The game comprises of six levels, each level progressively more difficult than the previous. A level is completed when any one of the coins is put into the goal.
The iPhone accelerometer technology was used to develop this application. The application responds to the user's movements to produce cougar roards. The application has a timer feature that allows users to play the cougar roar at the set interval. Additionally, a security feature has been provided. With the security feature enabled the cougar roar will be played alerting the user that the phone has been moved or picked –up by somebody. The user is asked for a password to turn the security feature off.
An internationally recognised drinks company wanted to dive into the blackberry market to promote their brand amongst the Blackberry users. An arcade style game was created. As the game was developed for the blackberry handset primarily purchased by users as a business tool, it was important that the game stood apart from other games available for the Blackberry and allowed users to be quickly drawn into the game.
